Kokua Line: What happened to Biki bikes?

Question: How much money is the city spending to keep Biki afloat? This experiment should be allowed to run its course without taxpayers footing the bill. The stations are getting run down, there’s hardly any bikes available (broken down? stolen?) and demand has not been what the city expected. Some ideas just don’t work out. The pandemic and the slow build of rail are factors I’m sure, but on the other hand Honolulu has an aging population and maybe they were wrong to hope people would be so quick to hop on a rented bike.
