A big mahalo to a letter writer for alerting our readers to efforts to make Hawaii a sanctuary state (“Isles must not become next sanctuary state,” Star-Advertiser, April 30). From all the negative press of such statutes, the good people within our Legislature must recognize there are serious dangers to our community in enacting such a law.
