Letter: Broken parking meters becoming serious issue

Is anyone else frustrated with the plethora of nonfunctioning parking meters? An occasional one is understandable, but when broken exceeds functioning, “Honolulu, we have a problem.” Kokua Line addressed this recently, including the reminder that parking at a broken meter risks a ticket (“Take picture of bad meter before ticket is issued,” Star-Advertiser, April 17). I don’t desire a ticket, so I end up searching for a working meter.
