In 2015, the average HMSA insurance plan cost $311 per month. In 2026, the same plan cost patients $785 per month, more than double, and does not include $3,000 higher deductibles. At the same time, physician reimbursement rose 2%-3% a year. The result: Physicians lose money in all commercial plans, especially HMSA.
