Letter: Show aloha to newly appointed HPD chief

After a fair, professional and comprehensive search by the Honolulu Police Commission, David Lazar was chosen as the new Honolulu Police Chief (“Lazar named new HPD chief,” Star-Advertiser, May 21). He is a veteran officer who served 33 years with the San Francisco Police Department, rising to deputy chief. It would seem that the case was complete.
