Off the news: Rapid ohia death actions hold promise

Since 2012, rapid ohia death has emerged to become a threat to the continued existence of Hawaii’s native forests. Caused by a fungus that infests and kills a tree in just months, it has now killed more than 1 million ohia, most on Hawaii island. But there is hope, as researchers learn more.
