Column: Hawaii’s keiki deserve better than middle of the pack

When the Annie E. Casey Foundation released its 2026 KIDS COUNT Data Book earlier this week, Hawaii received an overall ranking of 25th in the nation and a score above the national average. At first glance, that may sound like good news.
