Off the news: More than NIL for student athletes

It’s always great to see University of Hawaii sports get backing from the home crowd, and this time community leaders have given their cheers in the form of financial support. Realizing that UH is more competitive in recruiting student athletes if Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) compensation is available, a group now has pledged $5 million.
