Kilauea man charged with murder and firearm offenses

A 51-year-old Kilauea man, the subject of a manhunt on Kauai who ended up in the ocean in Kapaa to evade capture, was ordered to appear Wednesday for a preliminary hearing on charges of murder and attempted murder in Kauai District Court.
