Letter: Development tears up North Shore forests

I was alarmed to see recent forest destruction between the Turtle Bay Hotel and the new Arete Collective development, and also in corridors well past the new development. Huge swaths of trees were cleared and the forest is now fragmented by large destroyed areas and pathways. This is significant because it was done during peak nesting season for forest birds.
