Letter: Case’s decision to reject debate is understandable

I support Ed Case’s refusal to debate opponents in the upcoming election because of that expression, “There’s nothing to gain from engaging weaker opponents, and sometimes the outcome is unexpected.” Just ask Virginia’s basketball team about visiting Chaminade here in 1982, or the current White House occupant’s decision to beat up on Iran.
