Off the news: Tax cuts preserved for all but top bracket

Hawaii’s workers whose earnings don’t reach the lofty heights of the state’s new, highest tax bracket likely breathed a sigh of relief when Gov. Josh Green signed the state budget on Friday. It preserves tax cuts that are slightly bigger than expected for lower earners and adds that new bracket for top earners.
