Letter: Republicans use DHHL suit for political gain

The latest gripe from the Hawaii Republican caucus, voiced by Rep. Diamond Garcia, regarding Eric Ryan’s lawsuit against the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands seems more of a racial attack. Any American citizen has the right to apply for a lease with DHHL. On the other end, DHHL has the right to say yea or nay on approving the lease.
