Letter: Take proactive steps to keep pedestrians safe

As a scout who regularly walks and bikes around the Waialae-Kahala area, I am more and more concerned about pedestrian safety near our major intersections, specifically around Kilauea Avenue and near Kahala Towers. At recent neighborhood meetings, residents have repeatedly raised flags about speeding vehicles and the need for better traffic studies.
