Two milestones were reached in recent weeks in the ongoing fallout from the 2021 Red Hill fuel leak that contaminated the area’s water — but lingering distrust of the Navy taints even progress with bitterness and skepticism. At this pivotal juncture, true “put-your- money-where-your-mouth-is” action by the military is needed, together with transparency that goes above and beyond the rote.
