On June 25, the Great American State Fair opened on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to kick off celebrations for the nation’s 250th birthday. Included in the fair are pavilions where the 50 states can showcase the pride and beauty of their respective homes. However, Hawaii is not one of those sending a delegation to participate.
