Tropical Storm Douglas to weaken far from Hawaii as muggy weather eases

Tropical Storm Douglas continued churning away in the Eastern Pacific today after forming Wednesday — as forecasters said the system poses no threat to Hawaii — while the islands are expected to see a fairly typical tradewind weather pattern through the Independence Day weekend.
