Off the news: Green to head governors’ association

Gov. Josh Green has been voted in as the 2026-2027 chair of the Western Governors’ Association, which includes governors from the 19 westernmost states, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas. He’ll now preside over a winter meeting in Hawaii, scheduled for Dec. 7 — the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
