Column: Hawaii poised to bolster dementia care

In every family, there is someone who remembers. In my family it was my mother. She remembered where our baby pictures were, how much salt to put in the tomato sauce, which cousin needed a ride, which grave needed flowers. She remembered when the figs were ready and the old stories that explain who we are.
