Letter: Keep tourists away from isles’ hidden treasures

A recent letter stated tourists should go off the beaten path and visit the real paradise of Hawaii (“Off the beaten path is where real Hawaii lives,” Star-Advertiser, June 30). These places, especially the beaches, are where the locals go to get away from the crowds of the city. It’s their paradise. A few tourists aren’t a problem. But then they go on social media and a few tourists becomes a crowd.
