It’s now illegal for youth ages 15 and under to ride electric bicycles (e-bikes) on public property, including parks, beachwalks, sidewalks and roads, and e-bike riders ages 17 and below must wear an approved safety helmet. State Rep. Darius Kila introduced the bill, now law, after younger riders were injured and even died in e-bike collisions.
