Maui police lieutenant allegedly took bribes to protect drug dealers, cockfights

A Maui Police Department lieutenant was charged by federal prosecutors today for allegedly taking bribes from criminals to protect cockfighting operations and drug dealers, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
