Hospitality leader was known as ‘Mr. Waikiki’

Andre S. Tatibouet, the Hawaii hotelier known as “Mr. Waikiki” who built Aston Hotels &Resorts into one of the state’s largest hotel companies and helped pioneer the condominium-hotel concept, died July 10 in Chatham, Mass., after a lengthy battle with Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive skin cancer. He was 85.
