Hurricane Lala ravages ‘southernmost bake shop’ in U.S.

For over 30 years, Punalu‘u Bake Shop in Naalehu — which claims the title of the “southernmost bakery in the United States” — welcomed residents and tourists with its famous sweet bread, fruit-flavored malasadas and other treats.
