Rescue operations ramped up over the weekend in response to Wednesday’s massive Himalayan flood disaster in Nepal, with more than 7,000 people rescued and evacuated to higher ground. By Monday, rescuers estimated that more than 939 people were dead and 4,247 missing, including hundreds of workers at hydropower plants swept away by the flood.
