Kauai residents say tourists are treating the recent storm disasters as sightseeing opportunities. As some locals try to survive by doing necessary acts of survival, some tourists are displaying insensitive behavior. These tourists drive through hard-hit areas, splashing water, stopping to take video of the locals and some even asking where to find the best beaches that weren’t destroyed so they can finish their vacation. Were the locals wearing lavalavas? Malos? Selling lei? Carrying spears? Chanting?
