Letter: Neighborhood park for residents, not homeless

I am angry and disappointed with the city’s lack of action on Kalo Place Mini Park, directly below the Hawaiian Humane Society. The park opened six years ago and is the only green area in that increasingly built-up Moiliili neighborhood. It has been unusable basically since opening, as a number of homeless people and their unsecured dogs have taken it over. There are tents, trash and large loose dogs roaming around, making it unsafe to visit for families with young children or with their own leashed dogs.
