A letter writer recently criticized President Donald Trump for dismissing the initial threat of COVID-19, but forgets that Trump directed the rapid development of a vaccine, thus saving millions of lives around the world (“Trump puts head in sand as AI threat advances,” Star-Advertiser, Sept. 22). The writer forgets that President Joe Biden caused the negative effects of forced closure of schools, firing of millions of people who refused to take the vaccine, closed churches but not bars, and disallowed people from visiting dying relatives in hospitals.
