Nolo’s high winds knock out power for over 16,000 on Maui, Oahu

Over 16,000 Hawaiian Electric Co. customers were without power today on Maui and Oahu as a result of strong winds from Hurricane Nolo, which is passing south of the state, the company said this morning.
