‘Star Trek’ actor Walter Koenig, who played Chekov, dies at 90

Walter Koenig, a mainstay of the “Star Trek” franchise as Pavel Chekov, the Russian navigator aboard the USS Enterprise, died Sunday at his home in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles. He was 90.
