Letter: Midterm wipeout is start of reckoning

The GOP gerrymandered several states, the president threatened politicians he did not like, the Department of Justice sued several blue states, Republican billionaires spent a record amount trying to buy the elections ­— and yet it was all for naught. The public told the Republicans that we do not like the way they were running the country.
