A growing community is getting a new ambulance.
The City and County of Honolulu dedicated a new ambulance that will service Ewa Beach.
"This is a strategic location for this new ambulance cause we are covering between Waipahu and Makakilo and so it covers all of the Ewa Beach area which has needed coverage for a while," said Patty Dukes, Chief of the Emergency Services Department.
"We have been looking at Ewa Beach as an area of need for a while but when HMC closed it really kicked it up a bit," added Dukes.
The new ambulance will be housed at the Ewa Villages Golf Course.
