Chai Chaowasaree hosts a grand opening of his new restaurant called Chef Chai in the The Pacifica Honolulu Tower at 5 p.m. Saturday.
It is located at 1009 Kapiolani Blvd.
He previously operated Chai’s Island Bistro at Aloha Tower Marketplace for nearly 14 years. He closed that location on Dec. 31, 2012 because the lease was not renewed.
