A 14-year old girl driving a van crashed into a utility pole in Waianae early Sunday morning. It happened about 5:00 a.m. on Waianae Valley Road. Honolulu police say another 14-year old girl was also in the van at the time of the crash.
Both were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The crash also knocked out power to 2,100 customers in Waianae and closed the road in the area.
Hawaiian Electric crews have restored power to all but 16 customers.
