Column: AI belongs in education, just not everywhere

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become the student everyone loves to hate. As AI becomes a bigger part of our lives, it has raised the question: What is AI’s place in education? Many educators strongly oppose student use of AI. Their concerns are reasonable, as a majority of high schoolers and college students admit to using AI for schoolwork, which can detract from the learning experience.
