In the past, the need to imagine a day without water felt like a hypothetical, intellectual exercise to reinforce the value of fresh water. Or it was an attempt to raise our global consciousness about the dire need for access to clean water in a developing country, a reminder to be grateful for the advanced water infrastructure systems we often take for granted.
