Column: Lower BAC limit will save isle lives

Every year, thousands of families across the country are drastically impacted by a bad choice: drinking and driving. Alcohol- impaired driving remains one of the most persistent and preventable threats on our roads, and the toll continues to rise despite decades of awareness campaigns and enforcement efforts. Behind every statistic is a life forever altered, a community changed, and a question we can no longer avoid: If we know how to reduce these tragedies, why aren’t we acting faster?
