Column: Sometimes, students need structure

Every parent knows the feeling of looking at their child and seeing talent, intelligence and potential — but for whatever reason, the traditional school setting is not working. Grades slip, motivation fades and frustration grows. It can be painful to watch a young person drift away academically when you know they are capable of more.
