David Shapiro: We need to play it smarter as e-bikes multiply on roads

A standout point in the alarming number of Oahu traffic fatalities this year, more than twice as many as this time last year, is the many deaths involving motorcycles, mopeds and e-bikes — most recently a 14-year-old Ewa Beach boy run over on an electric dirt bike while crossing a street against the light.
