Divisions among Fed members cloud path ahead

The Federal Reserve lowered interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point Wednesday in a highly contentious decision. The split among policymakers suggested that the central bank may be done lowering borrowing costs for the time being unless there are clear signs that the labor market is weakening further.
