DOE expanding farm-to-school programs

Fresh produce grown just steps from the cafeteria is now making its way onto student plates at Waipahu High School, part of the state Department of Education’s expanding farm-to-school efforts, which aim to increase access to fresh, locally grown foods while strengthening students’ connections to agriculture and food systems.
