Driver in deadly crash will keep his license

The driver involved in a deadly crash that took the life of a 15-year-old boy will get to keep his driver’s license.

Dwayne Canon pleaded no contest to negligent homicide and driving without a license.

He was sentenced to probation, but no jail time.
Monday afternoon, a judge handed down the final portion of Canon’s sentence. Prosecutors had requested that his license be permanently revoked. The judge denied the request.
