Editorial: DOE social media rule good for keiki

Parents, schools, communities and societies are increasingly wary over youthful — and adult — overuse of electronics and social media. Australia has prohibited platforms that target youth and teens; other countries regulate content. In the U.S., free speech protections may protect platform developers who distribute disturbing, manipulative and/or false messages — but they don’t prevent parents, educators and/or lawmakers from limiting their access to minors.
