Monday’s city announcement that it had just closed on a $2.7 million purchase for a 4-acre parcel at 519 Kaaahi Street gets government closer to the transit-oriented development (TOD) that’s been long promised to benefit Hawaii’s hard-working residents and kamaaina families.
