Editorial: Hawaii needs driven green fee council

The statewide “green fee,” long pursued to address serious concerns about how climate change is affecting Hawaii’s environment in crucial ways, is now law. The next step is to find the best way to use that new resource — estimated at $100 million yearly — to make investments that bolster the health of natural resources we all enjoy, and to repair infrastructure that has borne the brunt of climate-induced damage.
