Editorial: Housing project solid for Haleiwa

‘Keep the Country Country” is a persuasive slogan and a pretty good summation of residents’ aspirations for the North Shore. In past decades, residents from all parts of Oahu have supported the sentiment in successfully pushing back against development plans, including condos above Sunset Beach and 3,500 housing and hotel units at Turtle Bay. The high-profile battles garnered plenty of approval.
