Hawaii is digging out from record-breaking severe weather. Four hurricanes in about six weeks have battered the islands, flooded it with rushing rivers, stripped away rooftops and plunged Hawaii families and businesses into darkness. They also have illuminated this state, in ways that seem overwhelming.
