Editorial: New blood comes to isle body politic

In the Aug. 8 primary election, all 51 state House seats and 14 of 25 Senate seats will be on the ballot — though in a democracy, it’s lamentable to see one-fourth of incumbents with no opponents. That means 16 legislators will return, unchallenged, to the Legislature, including Senate President Ron Kouchi and House Speaker Nadine Nakamura.
