Editorial: School repairs must be priority

Finding the money to address deferred maintenance — languishing repairs and upgrades to essential structures and infrastructure, known to be needed but unfunded — is a problem for many a cash-strapped government agency. But when the maintenance being deferred affects the education that Hawaii’s public school students receive, the problem takes on special urgency.
