FBI warns Hawaii residents of scams invoking federal authorities

The FBI is warning Hawaii residents about a sophisticated scam where crooks spoof the official phone numbers of federal law enforcement field offices — “including FBI Honolulu’s Field Office”– and use the names of actual and fictitious agents, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
